Nsw Health Service Agreement 2019-20

There is a service agreement between the Ministry of Health and all hospital and health services (HHS) for the delivery of public health services. The interim agreement outlines the service and performance expectations of our LHD to ensure that we continue to provide fair, safe, quality and staff-centered health care. If you need copies of previous service contract revisions 2016/2017 – 2018/19 or related changes, please contact SAM@health.qld.gov.au. The service agreement defines the health, education, research and other services that must be provided by HHS and the resources that will be made available to HHS for the delivery of these services. It also defines the results that need to be achieved by the SHH and how its power is measured. Each year, NNSW LHD enters into a service agreement with NSW Health. Service agreements define the strategic priorities of the health system and recognize local priorities. It sets performance and accountability requirements for each health service, relative to key performance indicators and the implementation of strategic priorities for nsw Health 2019/20. Service agreements are key elements of the NSW performance framework. The current service contract is valid for the period from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022. All changes to the service agreement during this period are recorded in an amendment.

The executive and board of directors of the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSW LHD) recently approved the 2020-21 Interim Service Agreement until December 2020. The interim agreement is an extension of the 2019-2020 service agreement until December 2020. The final agreement on 2020-21 services will be drawn up following the 2020 budget.
